A New Jacket!

Emma has quite a wardrobe, a few shirts, sweaters, boots, & jackets.
Here is a new jacket that she got as a gift from an Auntie! Thank You!

Bathtime!

Emma gets a bath every 2 weeks or so. She tolerates them pretty well, she stands in the sink and seems to like the warm water, although she would make a run for it if she could. Good thing she is so little!

A New Friend

Hey Emma, come meet Mickey, an adorable 4 month old Chihuahua/American Eskimo cross!
Hmm...Emma doesn't look too sociable. If they had a contest who would blend into the carpet better, I wonder who would win?!?

I'm not fat, I'm just fluffy!

I saw that on a shirt while shopping in the US, and I thought it would be perfect for our little Emma, but it was too small!

She's gotten a bit plump lately, I noticed after we got back from our vacation, she has been eating her dry dog food almost 3 times a day! I've had to fill up her dispenser twice already in one month, and usually I only fill it once every couple of months. Since she was a tiny puppy, we have left her food out so she could eat whenever she wanted. She used to hate eating her dry kibble and would eat it as a last resort. While we were on vacation, she stayed at my parent's house and I think she felt threatened that there was another dog (Nikka) staying there. "That other dog's going to eat all my food! I better get to it first!"

Sooo...my plan is to feed her really tasty food so she will go back to thinking her dry food tastes yucky. It's working so far! I'm feeding her 1 tray of wet dog food a day, and I've only seen her eating her dry dog food once (in 2 days) so far. She even feels thinner and is more energetic!

It's cold outside!

Since we got our landscaping finished in the backyard, Emma loves going out to run around in the grass, running after butterflies and doing her business. Now that it has snowed, she still wants to go out but is confused with all that white stuff invading her turf! At first, she was sniffing it and trying to eat it all. She comes back inside with clumps of snow stuck on her fur. I decided to dress her up today since it is quite cold, with her little boots (which she hates), sweater and a scarf.


Now, where is that bone I buried?




Back inside, now where's my treat?

The newest trick I taught Emma is to crawl, or to shuffle forward on her belly. She can also bark on command...the next trick is to get her to STOP barking on command!!
