Starting point

She can sit, stay, down, shake, and "dance" (spins around). I started training Emma when we got her a year ago and she learned to sit after a few weeks. She finally learned "Down" about a month later, but then she kept mixing up sit and down! I also took Emma to puppy obedience classes at the beginning of the year, mainly to socialize her so she wouldn't bark so much at strangers. Didn't work. She didn't learn too much in class because she was distracted by the other dogs.

Now when I try to teach her something new, she thinks I want her to "sit, down, shake or dance" and she does them all in succession. I tell her "No" and try again...after the 50th time, she gets frustrated and whines at me.

The next thing I'm going to try to teach her is to "Put away your toys"
and theoretically, she would go around the house, pick up her toys and put them back in her toy basket. If you've been to our house, you'll know why I want to teach this to her. She has so many toys (mostly Mcdonald's happy meal toys) scattered all over the house. She knows how to take her toys out of the basket, but to get them back in would be great!
